The Challenge
Preventing falls
Every year, one-third of people over 65 experience a fall. Despite the spread of wearable alert buttons, data shows that in up to 80% of serious falls, the user is unable or forgets to activate the device.
Newer monitoring solutions, such as cameras and cloud based solutions, create significant privacy concerns and aren't suitable for places where falls are likely to happen (the bathroom and the bedroom).
Radars are being used for fall detection in some nursing homes, but are prohibitively expensive for most homes and require custom installation on ceilings
The Solution
Wall mounted radar for fall detection
Hyden was founded to bridge this gap through non-invasive, autonomous monitoring. Our proprietary radar system utilises modern radar technology and locally running SLMs to detect falls in real-time.
If a fall is detected, the Hyden radar will send an alert to the user's designated emergency contact via cellular network.
